Everyone’s favourite tournament is back, and that’s the wonderful Carabao Cup!
Not the League Cup as some people still call it – yuck! – and certainly not the Carling Cup which I definitely 100% don’t still call it, no; it’s the wonderful, sweet Carabao Cup!
Portsmouth host Birmingham tonight in this most prestigious of competitions and if that wasn’t enough to make you instantly drop to your knees and thank god that you’re alive, then I have a few cool tips to make things just a little sweeter…
1. Drink a cool, refreshing and sweet can of delicious Carabao™

I said I’d make things sweeter for you, didn’t I? Well that’s being achieved with Thailand’s greatest export, Carabao Dang Energy Drink Khārābāw dæng!
Boy that’s some smooth sippin’ and it perfectly compliments a high octane first round game of the Carabao Cup… hold on, I completely forgot that League Cup was sponsored by Carabao for a second. I was just too busy recommending my favourite drink, which also happens to be Carabao. Wow, what a coincidence!
2. Read this article on why Red Bull – that awful energy drink – is bad for you

LiveStrong wrote an article highlighting the negating effects of that terrible “drink”, Red Bull and it’s pretty shocking.
To balance your mood when you’re almost too happy watching Ross McCrorie kick a ball, have a look at what horrible Red Bull can do to you here.
*Kindly ignore all of the parts where they say “or similar drinks”.
3. Enjoy this promotion picture of Emi Martinez signing a loan contract for Reading

Just a happy chappy signing for Reading on loan from Arsenal. What’s not to like?
4. Be disgusted by this flagrant Gucci advertising

Despicable. I just wanted to remind myself of my favourite 27-year-old Portuguese player, Nélson Oliveira, signing for Reading last season and I was forced to stare at a horrendous Gucci advert.
It made me gag, honestly.
This picture will remind you how lucky you are to be watching the wonderful Carabao Cup.
5. Have another can of wonderful Carabao™

The game’s over and you’re exhausted. What a contest! Both Portsmouth and Birmingham really gave it their all, reminding you why they’re considered the true titans of football.
You’re going to need another can of delicious Carabao to get your energy back up to where it needs to be and hey, there’s nothing wrong with visiting flavour country every once in a while.
Enjoy the football, brought to you by Carabao™…
